Orden en los estadios
Official recognition of police efforts to secure stadiums
AFA honors the efforts of the police chief in providing a safe atmosphere at the stadium. This recognition should be read in the context of the coup that took place a few months ago and the promise of the military to restore social order. These AFA meetings were supervised by the government interventor.

This letter reveals that a state intervention (similar to the one that took place in 1966-1967, under Ongania) by the military government was installed to rectify Argentine soccer. This "intervention" lasted from October 1955 to March 27, 1956--most likely to weed out Peronist elements in the AFA.

¡Amnistía general!
Amnesty for the good of the sport is not welcome news for the author
In the wake of the 1955 coup and subsequent proscription of Peronism, the magazine is aghast as to why the federal intervention of AFA led to amnesty of club officials and players sympathetic to Peron

Because clubs are civic associations, and AFA a private association of clubs, then who "owns" Argentine fútbol? Can anyone "own" fútbol?

Los amos del fútbol
A fascinating piece on the larger-than-life club presidents that rules Argentina in the 1960s
The era of "fútbol espectáculo" comes to an end. This article looks at the businessmen who directed the fortunes of the clubs over many years, and whose competition fueled high spending. They include: Alberto Armando (Boca Juniors), Herminio Sande (Independiente), Santiago Saccol (Racing), José Amalfitani (Vélez Sársfield), Antonio Liberti (River Plate), Valentín Suárez (Banfield and AFA), and Luis Seijo (Huracán).

Aloé prestó declaración otra vez y fue detenido Cereijo
Two prominent Peronist officials associated with sports are detained and questioned
The prosecution of Peronist officials is well under way with Carlos Aloé and Ramón Cereijo under investigation. The article never mentions "Perón" or "Peronism" by name. Among the noteworthy items is that thousands of people stood outside the government building waiting to jeer and throw objects at Aloé, that hundreds of Peronists were arrested (30 detained under the accusation of torture), and that the government detained Cereijo to assess any criminal activities under radio and cinema.
