¿Hemos ido a Europa a enseñar fútbol?
Another example of how Argentine started to see themselves as the ultimate practitioners of soccer
This article follows one on the previous page that translates the Dutch reaction in the press to the Olympic final. The Dutch describe the Argentines as better than the Uruguayans, but their opponents defense was exceptional and the goalie even lucky at times. This article wonders why British teams like Motherwell come to Argentina to teach them how to play, when Argentines traveled to Europe and played for the world championship. The article also describes the Argentines as skillful compared to the "brutish" Motherwell side. Also, the author cites Boca's 1925 tour as a reason why Argentines were confident of doing well and mentioned the universal praise by the European press for the Argentine side.

¿Por qué tan malos los partidos? La eurforia posterioral sudamericano se esfuma en la desilusión que ha producido el campeonato
The 1959 season fails to reverse the decline in the quality of Argentine fútbol
Argentina's triumph at the 1959 South American championship raised expectations among fans and journalists that the Argentine style, defined by its "viveza criolla," was on the verge of returning to league matches. Instead, the 1959 season brought more of the same: dull matches and overly defensive approaches.

¿Qué más quieren?
The magazine accuses Argentine sports journalists of club bias in their coverage of the national team.
Citing the fact that 8 of the starting 11 players on the national team belonged to River Plate, the magazine accuses sports writers at newspapers like La Nacion of omitting the contribution of River players in their summary of the national team's World Cup qualifying matches against Chile and Bolivia. Furthermore, the magazine wonders why the Argentine team is criticized for not retaliating against Bolivian physical play in one match and then criticized for being too aggressive in the following match while receiving similar physical play.
