Description
FAA representatives met with AFA chief, Oscar Nicolini, in order to air their grievances and try to reach a settlement. According to the reporters present in the room, players experessed their concerns over the hostility and unwillingness to cooperate exhibited by club directors. Seeing no end in sight to the strike, Nicolini offered his resignation as AFA president so he could focus on his work as minister in the Perón government. In a meeting with AFA members that afternoon, representatives from the clubs gave Nicolini their full backing and asked him to reconsider his resignation.
