A request is made to allow players called into the national team to play for their club teams in matches for the Copa Libertadores. The request not approved through voting. As a result, a scheduled pre-World Cup tour of Europe is cancelled (to allow players to rest, presumably). In another note, a petition is made to hire a coach for the national team. This is incredible because the World Cup is two months away and AFA has yet to hire a coach. AFA will settle on Juan Carlos Lorenzo, who guided the team in 1962, to resume the position on April 20th (Boletin Nº 1362). He accepts and conditions are published on April 25th (Boletin Nº 1364).
