Description

Argentina's first recorded football match took place on June 20, 1867, in Palermo, at the grounds of the Buenos AIres Cricket Club. The side led by the Hogg brothers won 4-0 over its opponents, but all 16 participants belonged to the "Club": the new Buenos Aires Football Club. A second game was scheduuled for the 29th of June.
