Title

¡Forte debe desaparecer del fútbol!; "Señores Referees"

Subject

Racing calls for the removal of Eduardo Forte from the officiating body of the AFA

Description

A series of prejudicial calls against Racing, the latest in a loss to San Lorenzo, leads the magazine to call for the banishment of "Sr. Forte" from Argentine fútbol. Here, the magazine riles fans against a referee, who is a symbol of injustice. This helps explain how, over time, fans become agitated against referees and attack them with projectiles or physical assault. The following week a letter from a reader, Ernesto Vigloglia, does not condone the attempt to attack Forte by Racing fans, but understand their frustrations--an example of how violence is legitimized.
