Description
A variety of superlatives color the account of the opening cermonies of the 1951 Pan-American Games. There is some mention of the ticket prices and the fact that Perón was concerned about the ability of the nation's "most humble" citizens being able to attend the events. As a result, the popular sections at many events were made free to the public. There's also a mention of how the Sub-Secretary of Information (the unofficial office of state propagand) produced a brochure with an interesting title: "Buenos Aires, Capital del Justicialismo".
