Nestor Combín, an Argentine playing in Italy, is shocked at the treatment he received by several players from Estudiantes. This article describes his reunion with his father in the locker room, and his concern about how others will perceive Argentina and its players. Other Italian players tried to analyze the violent actions of their opponents and rationalize why they would have resorted to such violence. The coach of AC Milan was more direct: Estudiantes turned the match into something other than fútbol–a "matanza".
