Subject

Some rare accusations that AC Milan players were also to blame for the ugly incidents at La Bombonera

Description

In a commentary, Beto Devoto accuses the Italian squad of being complicit in the events at La Bombonera by not trying to win a match, throwing themselves on the ground, and stalling. Of note is that Devoto uses the "we" form–showing that Estudiantes represented the entire country. The second article focuses on the arrest of Néstor Combín. The problem centered on his supposed failure to comply with military service because of his arrest by the Argentine military. However, Combín eventually cleared his name. This shows a preoccupation, at first, of assigning equal blame for the ugly incidents at the end of the match; however, the brutality Argentines witnessed in the stadium, and on television, left no doubt that several Estudiantes players had exceeded the norms of sportsmanship.
