Title

Reconocimiento; Distinción

Subject

Two articles on honoring the national team

Description

The first article is interesting because a smaller team, Tigre, has decided to honor one player from the national team that played in the World Cup: Ubaldo Rattín--who was infamously expelled from the final match against England and protested by squatting on the Queen's carpet. The second article is a move to honor the entire delegation from the World Cup with gold medals (for 1st place). Argentina only reached the quarterfinals, but these articles show the extent that notions of identity (as opposed to the English "other") and injustice remain strong in Argentine soccer.
