Title
Se impone la necesidad de cambiar métodos
Subject
Biting assessment of the Argentine player, but also a sharp rebuke for British players and the use of physical play from both sides
Description
In this article, “Se Impone La Necesidad de Cambiar Metodos”, Lucero believes there may be some fixes to what Rácing can do before the next match, but Celtic was clearly in better physical shape, quicker, and mentally sharper. Russian players train eight hours a day twice a day, why can’t ours? He believes that Argentines should either change men, or tactics. "If our players are asking for water after 30 min. something must change." The most surprising aspect was the treatment that Rácing received from the press, where they were considered: more aggressive (in a brutal fashion), played outside the laws of the game, and behaved like criminals. Further, Lucero finds it amazing that foreign observers have fomented the impression of the Argentine player based on what happened in 1966. Argentines will continue being the victims of a monstrosity created against "our players." Sure there was enough physical confrontations in the match, but players from both sides played a part. He concludes that Argentine players are just professionally lazy and bored.
