The article suggests that the referee of the Santos-River match, Comesaña (Feb 9), is ultimately sanctioned for his poor performance which cost River a tie against Pele's Santos. It is not until the end that the article defines 'sanctioned' as AFA removing his name from the list of referees to send to the Olympic Games in Tokyo; furthermore, the River fans sanctioned him in their disapproval. In fact, the Trbunal de Penas (unlike the previous cases of Nai Fano and Velarde) did not pursue any actions against Comesaña.
